Letter
from the President
Dear
Friends,
Many great leaders have been through
MACC 's unique courses and workshops over the years.
MACC was co-founded in 1972 by the Most Rev.
Patrick F. Flores, Archbishop Emeritus of the San Antonio Archdiocese
and Father Virgilio Elizondo.
MACC 's mission is to empower and educate leaders for service
in a culturally diverse Church and society. Though MACC remains
rooted in the Mexican American experience and focused on the
development of Latino Leadership, MACC is at the service of
all cultures and works for the common good of the Church and
society in the United States and beyond.
MACC continues to develop new programs not
only relevant to today's needs but also looking to the year
2020 with a vision full of hope. Our focus and attention will
be on reaching out in our community, to Latino youth and young
adults, to the newly arrived immigrants and many more who need
hope in their lives.
I hope that you will discover more about
MACC and communicate with us so that we can share more of our
story with you. Please send your e-mail address to development2@maccsa.org
for future MACC E-News (i.e. e-mail newsletter & announcements).
Please join me in praying for the mission
of MACC that we may continue to inspire others to rise to their
potential and to claim their faith and culture.
Arturo
Chávez, Ph.D.
