Can I access the Internet and my e-mail while at MACC?

Yes, if you bring your own laptop computer and modem, and have an Internet Service Provider (ISP). MACC doesn’t provide a LAN (local area network) in the dorms, nor do we have external modems available for use. Students who have an ISP account can use the telephone line to access the Internet. We suggest that you obtain a local access telephone number (area code 210) before coming to MACC.

As a non-Catholic would I feel comfortable at MACC?

We believe so. MACC is a Catholic institution but many people of different faiths have taken classes at MACC; and MACC welcomes people of all faiths to participate in its programming.

MACC's pastoral faculty draw upon their own religious background in their teaching but the lessons are ecumenical in application, and all participants are invited to share their heritage as part of the learning process.

MACC's language courses focus on learning a new language and are tailored to meet the needs of the students with vocabulary lessons appropriate their situation.

Worship is a part of creating community at MACC and it is often an extension of classroom learning, but it is optional. Both structured and individual opportunities for worship and meditation are provided, and we welcome non-Catholics to join us in worship and to pray with us for peace and the unity of the human family.

MACC's faculty and staff endeavor to make everyone feel at home, and we hope that you will feel welcome.
