    Culture as pluri-culture.
Literal translation from Eng. to Sp. of faith formation materials.
Hispanic leaders who are trained and are bilingual.
    Cultural differences recognized & addressed.

  2. El Sembrador” Evangelization through multiple media (8 countries) meets general population at wider culture (TV & radio); cable option for home;
How to further approach our people?
How to expand on wider cultural ops-w/internet.
Approved by our Archbishop (Church support).

  3. .

  4. Inequalities in materials
    Lack of resources
Not enough materials that are bilingual and culturally responsive
    Takes time to develop
Our books might be there but the people are not.
    Preparation of catechists – training
Incapacity to respond to needs of Hispanic youth

  5. Struggle: though some we need to talk of amass – usually Spanish, weakness – lack of understand of culture,
trying to design for the Hispanic culture gap: materials still need lost of work - still not meeting need of Hispanic, language barrier and economic barrier –
keep working at finding solutions within church is a great need.
Need to understand culture – can’t forget USA cultures very individualistic.. ie copy right v. copy manual aspects.
How to be trained in youth and newly arrived immigrants.
Distribution existing resources not available to all peoples undocumented.
Access of resources – decision making.
How to legitimize and know what materials not to use.
    Challenge of assimilation – okay
We need to understand issues of immigration etc.
Hispanic leadership dialoguing internal oppression – multicultural – ministries can be responsive to working with Hispanic and black diocesan offices.

  6. The materials produced do not respond to the need of the Latino
    Lack of monetary resources
Need for more professional leader to transmit the Latino culture into the material
Difficulty to create and market material
Difficulty to evangelize people with a materialistic culture

  7. Various cultural diversities
    Diversity of education levels
Spend a lot of time translating and creating their
Finding materials that are sensitive to the own Hispanic materials
Our own racism and lack of understanding of Latinos, this is an injustice
Economic challenges of publishers to be good stewards of our resources
Produce materials that encompass the diversity cultures
Within diocese, the leadership is not listening to the needs of the people, not being welcoming, need outreach to the community
There are prejudices within the Hispanic culture and how do we bridge this gap

    Money – contributors

Not finding enough material in Spanish (multiculturalism)/ Tex-Mex not working
Not enough prayer materials in Spanish
Reality of living in two worlds (Spanish/English)
