Sister Rosa María Icaza, CCVI , is a member of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio , Texas . In her present position she is a Professor and Associate Director of the Pastoral Department at MACC . In addition she is an adjunct faculty member of Boston College , Boston , MA , and Oblate School of Theology, San Antonio , TX . Sr. Rosa María was born in Mexico City and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish Language and Literature and a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish and English Literature, and a Ph.D. in Spanish, French, and Latin Language and Literature from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC, and a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Incarnate Word College in San Antonio. In addition, Sr. Rosa María studied liturgy at St. John?s University, Collegeville , Minnesota , where she was a “fellow” at the Institute for Cultural and Ecumenical Research. She is very active on various boards and committees, and has served as an advisor for the Bishops' Committee on the Liturgy and currently serves as a member of the Sub-Committee on Hispanic Liturgy. She has written numerous articles and books, and has translated several books into Spanish. In addition to her many responsibilities at MACC , Sr. Rosa María travels and gives lectures and workshops throughout the United States and Mexico .
