Look at What Our Hands Build:
Understanding the Roots of Racism
Academics > Continuing Education Courses & Workshops > Understanding the Roots of Racism
Prerequisite: The Heart of Multiculturalism
True conversion of heart leads to personal and systemic transformation. In multicultural, faith-based communities, this means a personal and collective commitment to dismantle racism. This course will help leaders develop a better understanding of racism and how it is built by systems of power that give privilege to certain cultural groups at the expense of others. The course uses both theoretical and experiential methods to create a safe, prayerful environment where participants can examine how racism has affected them personally and how they can begin to heal and change the systems of which they are a part.
